What is Super Fun 21?

Super Fun 21, like traditional blackjack, is played using a standard 52 card deck. In this game, you are playing against the dealer and how cards are valued and dealt works the same way as in traditional blackjack. Aces can be a 1 or 11 depending on your hand. Face cards like K, Q, and J count as 10, and the remaining cards in the pack carry face value. All bets come before you receive your initial two cards which is handed one face up and the other face down. The game will proceed as it does in traditional blackjack and the player with a hand that equals 21 or closest to it, wins.

Super Fun 21 vs Traditional Blackjack

There are a few notable differences between super fun 21 and the original game. The differences make super fun 21 more advantageous to the player by giving you more opportunities to build a winning hand. Here are some of the differences between the two games.

  • Players can win on a total of 20 even if the dealer has 21 provided that they have a hand of 6 cards or more.
  • If both the dealer and the player reach 21, the player automatically takes that round.
  • Players are able to split their hands up to four times.
  • You are also able to double down at any point of the game, irrespective of the number of cards you have been dealt up until that point.
  • You will receive double the payout if your final hand consists of five or more cards that equal to 21.
  • But, casinos get some of that edge back by imposing a payout of 6 to 5 in super fun 21 as opposed to 3 to 2 in traditional blackjack.

Super Fun 21 Strategy

Super fun 21 offers more freedom to make moves that wouldn’t ordinarily be allowed in the traditional version at a specific time. This calls for a slightly different approach to the game. Here are some of the blackjack super fun 21 strategy tips that we have to offer. We’ve divided them on what to do with hard hands, soft hands, and pairs.

What to do with hard hands

It’s advisable to always hit with hands that have a hard total of 8 and below. If this doesn’t apply, do this:

  • With a hard 9, you may double down if the dealer displays totals of 3 through 6. If he doesn’t, hit.
  • On a hard total of 10 you should double down, but hit if the dealer’s card is a 10.
  • You’re at liberty to always double down on a hard 11 total.
  • If you have a 12, rather stand against the dealers 3 through 6. If he doesn’t display those cards, you can hit.
  • On totals of 13 and 14, you should stand provided that the dealer has cards 2 through 6. Otherwise, hit.
  • If the dealer has cards 2 through 6 and you have a 16 you should stand. But, if he has a 10 or an ace card in the mix, you should surrender. If none of the above apply, hit.
  • If you hold a hard 17, always surrender against the dealer’s ace. Or, you can stand.
  • On totals of 18 and over, always stand.

What to do with soft hands

  • Always hit on a soft total of 13.
  • If you have a 14 and the dealer displays a 6, you can double down, otherwise hit.
  • If you have a 15 and the dealer has a 5 or 6 you can double down or else hit.
  • Double down on a soft 16 against the dealers 4 through 6. If not, hit.
  • If you have a 17, it’s best to double down against the dealers 3 through 6. Or else, hit.
  • If you have an 18 and the dealer has cards 2 through 6 you should double down. If you have an 18 and the dealer has a 7 or 8, you should stand.
  • When your cards tally to 19, you must double down against the dealer’s 6, otherwise stand.
  • It’s best to always stand on a 20-soft total.

What to do with pairs

  • Always split a pair of aces
  • Always stand on a pair of 10s.
  • Pairs of 2 should be split if the dealer has cards 2 through 7. If not, you can hit.
  • You may split pairs of 3 if the dealer has cards 3 through 7. If not, hit.
  • If you have a pair of 4s you can split against the dealers 5 and 6. Otherwise, it’s safe to hit.
  • With pairs of 5 it’s best to double down instead of split provided the dealer has a card other than 10. If he does, you should hit.
  • You can split your 6s against the dealers 2 through 6. Otherwise, hit.
  • You can split your 7s against the dealers 2 through 7. Otherwise, hit.
  • It’s best to split your 8s, but not if the dealer has an ace. If that’s the case you should surrender.
  • With 9s you can split but not if the dealer has a 7, 10, or ace.
