Sic Bo in direct translation means ‘dice pair”. It is an ancient Chinese game and one of the lesser-known games at casinos today compared to popular games like blackjack and poker. Types of Sic Bo Bets
There are a number of bets that you can make in the game and the odds attached to each bet type may differ.
Total Bets
Total bets are perhaps the simplest bets that you can make in the game. It involves betting on the sum of all three dice once it comes to a standstill after being rolled. This bet covers totals from 4 through 17. Totals 3 through 18 aren’t included here because these are covered in tripe 1 and triple 6 bets below.
Big and Small Bets
Big and small bets involve betting that the sum of the three dice rolled will fall in the category of “big” or “small” numbers. A big bet includes numbers 11 and 17, while a small bet includes numbers 4 and 10. What’s important to take note of here is that both big and small bets lose if all three dice show the same number after being rolled.
Combination Bets
Combination bets involve betting that two out of the three dice will display two numbers that you’ve guessed. For example, you could bet that two dice will display the numbers 3 and 5. The number displayed on the third dice doesn’t matter with this bet.
Single Bets
A single bet narrows everything down even more by predicting a single number to appear on at least one of the three dice. For example, you can bet that the number 6 will appear on one of the dice and if it does, you win. The numbers displayed on the other two dice don’t matter with this bet.
Double Bet
A double bet is similar to a single bet, but instead of guessing just one number to appear on one of the dice, you are guessing any 2 numbers to appear on any two of the three dice.
Triple Bets
Tripe bets are not as straightforward as the ones mentioned above. There are two types, you get a specific triple bet and you get any triple bet. Specific triple bets are concerning numbers 1 through 6 and you win if you correctly guess which of the numbers between 1 and 6 will appear on all three dice. Betting on any triple means you’ll win if any three numbers which you’ve selected appear on the three dice.
